What is Biasing?

Biasing

When a electric source is connected to a p-n junction, this is known as Biasing.

Forward Bias

If electric sources of  (+)  terminal is connected to p-n junction , P terminal and n terminal is connected to (-) terminal to battery , then it is called Forward Bias.

Reverse Bias

If electric sources of  (-)  terminal is connected to p-n junction , P terminal and n terminal is connected to (+) terminal to battery , then it is called Reverse Bias.

P-n Junction

When a p-type semiconductor is connected to a n-type semiconductor, then the junction is forward is called p-n junction.
