Degree is one kind of Adjective. Adjective means the quality, quantity, situation etc. Degree also prefer the quality . Degree means comparison.

Classification of Degree

Degree have 3 types.
i) Positive;
ii) Comparative;
iii) Superlative.

Conversion

There are these conversions on Degree.
i) Positive to Comparative;
ii) Positive to Superlative;
iii) Comparative to Positive;
iv) Comparative to Superlative;
v) Superlative to Positive;
vi) Superlative to Comparative

Here have mainly 6 rules for 90% degree transformation.
You can learn it by two parts.
i) Singular Method;
ii) Plural Method.

We will use some short forms.

• PD = Positive Degree 
• CD = Comparative Degree
• SD = Superlative Degree

Singular Method

i) Positive: No other + Noun... + is + as PD as + Noun....

ii) Comparative : Noun... + is + CD + than any other + Noun...

iii) Superlative : Noun... + is + the + SD + Noun..

Examples:

1. You are more polite than Munni.( Make it Positive Degree)
= No other Munni is as polite as you .
2. Jupiter is the biggest planet in our solar system. ( Make it Comparative Degree)
= Jupiter is bigger than any other planet in our solar system.
3.  No other girl in our class is as small as she.  ( Make it Superlative Degree)
=She is the smartest girl in our class.

Plural Method

i) Positive : Very few + Noun.. + are + as PD as + Noun...

ii) Comparative : Noun... + is + CD + than most other + Noun...

iii) Superlative: Noun.. + is + one of the + SD + Noun..

[Note: Sometimes you need to replace " is " with suitable auxiliary verb. And in comparative degree, you can get just " than " except " than any/most other"]
