Statistics is the science which deals with methods of collecting, classifying, presenting, computing, interpretating data collected to throw some light on any sphere of inquiry. ( By Selligman)Statistics follows these rules:
- Event
- Data Collection
- Representation
- Analysis/ comparison
Variable
A variable is any characteristics, number or quality that can be measured or counted.
Variable:
1) Quantitative Variable: If any variable is countable , that is called quantitative variable.
Quantitative variable have two types
i) Discrete Variable : That can count separately
ii) Continuous Variable : That can increase or decrease continuously.
Based on discrete and continuous variable, it have two type.
2) Qualitative Variable: Non countable variable is known as qualitative variable.
Classification of variable
