TRANSFORMATION OF SENTENCE

From Assertive to Interrogative

Assertive Sentence is a  statement  sentence.  Assertive sentence can be yes or no type both.  On the other hand  Interrogative Sentence is a kind of sentence to ask something . Every Interrogative sentence have Question Mark(?) .

Rule -1:   If Assertive sentence have " everyone/ everybody" then for transformation to Interrogative, we will follow this rule =  who + ( auxiliary verb) not + verb 

Example:

1. Ass: Everyone likes flowers.

Int: Who does not like flowers?

2. Ass:  Everyone must die.

Int: Who will not die ?

3. Everybody has some needs.

4. Everybody is greedy.

5. Everybody has some desire.

Rule-2: If Assertive sentence have " nobody/none/no one " then for transformation to   interrogative , we will just use " who ".

Example:

1. Ass: Nobody trust a liar.

Int: Who trust a liar?

2. None can help us.

Int: Who can help us?

Rule-3: If Assertive sentence have "  never "  then  for transformation to interrogative, at 1st we will put the auxiliary verb  and then we will replace "never" by "ever". 

Example:

1. Ass: He will never come here.

Int: Will he ever come here?

Rule-4:  If Assertive sentence is affirmative then most of the time to make interrogative , we will do negative interrogative .  After that we will put the Auxiliary verb at first , then we will put " not" after subject 

Example:

1.  Ass: He is a good man.

Int: Is he not a good man?

Rule-5: If  Assertive sentence  have  "nothing" then to make  interrogative , we will replace by  "anything" .

Example:

1. Ass: There is nothing on the table.

Int: Is there anything on the table?

Rule-6: If Assertive sentence have " nothing but "  the to make interrogative,  we will use " anything but " or " but". When we will use " but " then we need to use " what ".

Example :

1. Ass: Our life is nothing but a walking  shadow.

Int: What is our life but  a walking shadow?

Or, Is our life anything but a walking shadow?

1.  Everybody has some needs. 
2. Everybody is greedy. 
3. Everybody has some desire.
4. No one has everything.
5. None can live alone.
6. An honest man never tells a lie.
7. You have never seen it before.
8.  I have never been to Cumilla.
9. It was a good idea.
10. He reads in this school.
11.  The earth goes round the sun.
12.  Man is mortal.
13.  I know nothing about you.
14.  He said nothing.
15. There is nothing better than honesty.
16. It was nothing but  a  deceit.
17.  He bought noting but an apple.
18. He wants nothing but a good job.
